Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2024 “Fireside Tales”, a limited edition from one of the most iconic distilleries on Islay and one of the most eagerly anticipated releases within the Diageo Special Releases. A particularly interesting expression for lovers of peated and smoky whisky, bottled at its Natural Cask Strength of 57.4% ABV.
This 2024 edition features a classic combination of maturation in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and refill casks, aiming to balance Lagavulin’s characteristic smoke and peat with additional sweetness and richness from the wood.
The result is an intense, deep and elegant Lagavulin, where bonfire smoke and embers combine with notes of vanilla, toffee, coconut, spices and a pronounced maritime character.
