Vintage Buchanan’s “De Luxe” Finest Blended Scotch Whisky bottle, produced by James Buchanan & Co. Ltd., Glasgow & London, Scotland.
A particularly attractive old presentation of Buchanan’s De Luxe, featuring the classic dark green glass bottle with embossed lettering on the reverse, original aged paper labels and the distinctive red closure.
The front label bears the historic “By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen” wording and Buchanan’s traditional coat of arms. The reverse of the bottle is embossed with:
“James Buchanan & Co. Ltd. – Distillers – Glasgow Scotland – Buchanan’s De Luxe – Scotch Whisky.”
The surviving Italian import label identifies Amerigo Sagna & Figli, Torino as importer/distributor and states 75 cl and 43° alcohol strength.
The bottle shows genuine signs of age and storage. The paper labels and neck/tax seal have considerable age-related wear, staining, fading and losses, while the glass also shows normal marks consistent with an old bottle. The red closure and remnants of the original neck seal are still present. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
An appealing example of historic Buchanan’s whisky packaging, suitable for a vintage spirits collection, whisky memorabilia collection, bar display or decorative collection.
