Sara grew up in Italy where she was surrounded by beautiful art everywhere. For as long as she can remember, she has loved going to museums to admire the old master paintings. She would often visit the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, fascinated by the painting, "The Kiss" by Francesco Hayez. Years later, she would write her dissertation on that very painting. Working towards her Masters in Art History and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, Sara realized she had to find a way to make a career out of her passion for art and history. After graduating, she worked in several galleries and auction houses including Il Ponte Casa d'Aste in Milan, Italy and Lyon & Turnbull Auctioneers in Edinburgh, Scotland. Having worked in traditional auction houses, Sara was incredibly excited to join Catawiki in 2018 to be able to share her love of art history with a global audience and inspire anyone with a passion for art to become a collector.
