Illustrated with frontispieces protected by original tissue guards, and 17 tipped-in photographs plates, and illustrations to each volume. Published by William Heinemann, London, 1906. Publisher’s original full red cloth with gilt portrait of Irving stamped to front boards, and gilt lettering to spines. Book Dimensions: 23 x 15 cm and Number of Pages: 372, 388 including index Condition Covers are faded and marked, with wear to boards’ corners, and edges, and rubbing to head and foot of spines. Internally; the books are in good condition. Inscriptions with pencil on top front free endpaper pages of both volumes. Light foxing on free endpaper pages, and on some other pages throughout. All illustrations are present and in nice condition (Please see pictures).
