Green Hills of Africa is Hemingway's second work of nonfiction, Green Hills of Africa is an account of a month on safari he and his wife, Pauline Marie Pfeiffer, took in East Africa during December 1933. Green Hills of Africa is divided into four parts: "Pursuit and Conversation", "Pursuit Remembered", "Pursuit and Failure", and "Pursuit as Happiness", each of which plays a different role in the story.

First UK Edition. Second Impression (published in the same month of the first impression). Black and white illustrations at the beginnings of each story and throughout. Published by Jonathan Cape, London, 1936. Publisher’s original green boards, spine lettered in gilt. The book is housed in a very smart facsimile dust jacket, which is in excellent condition. It is protected in a non-adhesive plastic cover to prevent any wear or damage.

Condition
A well-preserved copy. Firm and well-bound. Minor wear to corners and spine ends. Fading to the cloth binding, confined mostly to the spine. Internally; in nice condition. No writing or inscriptions.
