Hannah Bielecki - Connection

This work is a mixed media on canvas (acrylic, tempera, crayon, spray paint, pigment) and is a symbol of the connection between life and death, portraying this relationship in a positive and hopeful way. The work on canvas is predominantly white, with soft, layered colors delicately applied to create a sense of lightness, peace, and transcendence. These layers represent the multifaceted nature of life and its connection to the intangible, unspoken elements of existence. The crayon marks play a vital role in the composition, symbolizing the unwritten chapters of life—the parts yet to be defined. At the same time, these marks serve as a visual bridge, representing the enduring connection between the living and those who have passed. This connection is imbued with positivity, focusing on the continuation of bonds through memory, love, and the essence of life itself. Through this delicate interplay of textures, materials, and themes, the painting invites reflection on the beauty of life's transitions and the enduring ties that persist beyond physical boundaries. Important Note: The painting will be shipped rolled in a tube without wooden frame. Further Information: I am living and working in Cologne, Germany. I share my painting process on Instagram and studied Painting at Alanus University. She creates narration and objects in abstraction to tell a story that can only grow in the beholders eye and perception. The color palette she uses is somewhere between a dark reverie and neon bright drama, which she enlightens with points of light. She uses a lot of color but is never arbitrary. The paintings are appear dynamic, but nothing happens by accident. the viewer is challenged to fathom the painting. The eye doesn’t get a chance to rest. As soon as you have grasped the composition, colour, motive, you are attracted by a hidden layer, which in turn eludes all views and calls everything previously recognized into question."
