Egidio was a student in high school when he became a street art enthusiast. As a teenager, he dabbled as a graffiti artist, but it was his time spent in London, photographing street art—including a newly revealed Banksy—that cemented his passion for the genre. As an intern at Treccani (Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia of Science, Letters and Arts), Egidio authored dozens of encyclopedia entries on Urban Art. He now holds a Master’s degree for which he wrote his thesis on Street Art and is currently doing research on graffiti for his PhD at Katholische Privatuniversität of Linz, in Austria. Egidio has been an expert in his field for nearly seven years and is excited to share his passion for street art with the Catawiki community. Within his first week he already encountered an extraordinary customised car painted by graffiti artist, Darco. He looks forward to uncovering more treasures to share with fellow enthusiasts.
