1995 Chateau Haut-Brion - Pessac-Léognan 1er Grand Cru Classé - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Served at the table of King Charles II of England in 1660, Château Haut-Brion has continued to make history ever since. The blend consists of 45% merlot, 44% cabernet sauvignon and 9% cabernet franc with a small hint of petit verdot. Harvesting is done manually and during this process the grapes are selected several times and in an extremely meticulous manner. The limited yields and the long, controlled ageing of 22 months in entirely new barrels contribute to the elegance and refinement of this wine. Earlier than the other Grand Crus, Haut-Brion develops velvety notes of ripe blackcurrants and a minerality of incredible finesse. In great vintages, they are perfectly capable of ageing for several decades. Some vintages, such as 1961 or 1989, show the incredible potential of Château Haut-Brion, which is among the greatest red wines in the world. Coming from a private collection, the bottle has always been stored in air-conditioned rooms protected from light. #MW2025LUX
