Noiquet - 1 Original colour drawing - Detectives

Joan Beltrán Bofill was born in Badalona on June 17, 1934. Painting was his passion from a young age, and he studied art at Casa Lonja, where Picasso studied, and later at the School of Fine Arts of San Jordi in Barcelona. During his military service in Mallorca, he met the great Catalan painter Anglada Camarasa, who inspired him. He also became familiar with the Mallorcan landscape, which has had a significant influence on his work since then. One of his paintings from this period won a prize at the first press exhibition in Barcelona and was acquired by the Museum of Barcelona. With a solid background in drawing, color theory, and composition, Bofill embarked on his artistic career in 1972 and has since been fully dedicated to painting. His professional life was a true exploration of the effect of light in Mediterranean culture. The idea of space and the use of light are constant in his work. On the other hand, his art carries a permanent interest in classical painting or, as he himself defines it, the renaissance of beauty. Under the pseudonym Noiquet, he illustrated comic book covers.
