My parents were fond of art and history of art, and from an early age I wanted to paint. Unfortunately, it was impossible for me to study painting as a child: the art school was too far from home, and my parents couldn’t take me there regularly. At that time there were no other ways to learn, so I had to put my dream aside. Still, the desire to paint never left me. I collected paintings, and this passion only strengthened my wish to create my own. In 2017, I opened a gallery where I exhibited part of my collection. At the same time, I began taking classical painting lessons. I had no formal artistic education, apart from a short time at children’s art school, but I studied privately with artists working in classical techniques. I still enjoy working in this tradition. It was an incredibly interesting experience: I worked hard and quite quickly achieved results that allowed me to start painting my own works. I believe that every person has a life task that must sooner or later be discovered and fulfilled. I think I found mine when I started classical painting. I work every day, following the motto of the old masters: “not a day without a line.” This brings me joy, despite the challenges that come with creating art in traditional techniques. I have participated in many art festivals and exhibitions, mostly held in the Czech Republic—the country where I live and work: Open ART Fest 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024; a solo exhibition at the Regional State Library in 2025 and others. In addition, an interview with me has been published on the art platform Artmajeur, and the platform Artfinder has repeatedly selected my works for its collections, including Best Work of the Month and the International Landscapes thematic collection.
