è stato pulito da parecchio tempo per cui è incominciato il processo di ossidazione tipico dell'argento.
Francamente non mi sembra un motivo per dare un giudizio "neutro"

credo che 1,5 cm di differenza nell'altezza non siano molto influenti, trattandosi di argento, è importante che il peso corrisponda.
Qualora le leggere dimensioni in meno comportino  un problem nulla osta che l'oggetto venga restituito.
Credo ch prima di dare dl disonesto alle persone occorra valutare bene le motivazioni.
Considerato il peso dell'oggetto ed prezzo attuale dell'argento non credo di meritarmi epiteto di poco onesto.
Se non ricordo male la misura è stata presa tenendo conto anche dell'imboccatura del vaso che corrisponde circa ai 1,5 cm.  suo dire mancanti
