Amuleto - Brasil Pencas de Balangadan (Sin precio de reserva)
Pencas de Balangadan, the vintage Brazilian silver-plated copper amulet, a traditional piece of jewelry adorned with small charms (balangadans) designed to provide the wearer with spiritual protection, luck, health, and prosperity. Pencas are associated with the customs of African slaves exploited on Brazilian plantations and illustrate traditional African motifs, assimilated into Brazilian culture. Among these amulets, we also find a musical instrument – the Berimbau, used as accompaniment for the traditional African dance (the zebra dance), from which the martial arts of capoeira originate. Women of African descent wore the amulet at the waist of their dress or as a pendant on a chain. The amulets are made of hammered, engraved, and silver-plated copper, fruit, ritual pipe, and musical instrument. The hand is made of exotic hardwood, carved, and set in a metal mount. The fastening system is with a pin and clasping in a C-shaped loop. The decorative ring, integrated into the design of the upper mount, allows it to be worn as a pendant by threading it onto a chain
