It is possible to collect more than one object, from the same auction, in the same shipment. “The Embrace”, panel for the Stoclet Frieze 1905-1911 ‘The Stoclet Frieze’ is a series of three mosaics created by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt between 1905-1911 commissioned for the Stoclet Palace in Brussels. ‘The Embrace’ is one of the mosaics from the frieze, which was going to be placed along three walls of the Palace’s dining room. The design includes a couple embracing wearing highly ornate robes against a patterned background which was decorated with a variety of luxury materials including marble, ceramic, gilded tiles, pearls and other semi-precious stones. Gustav Klimt 1862–918) was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objects d'art. Among the artists of the Vienna Secession, Klimt was the most influenced by Japanese art and its methods. Early in his career, he was a successful painter of architectural decorations in a conventional manner. He subsequently achieved a new success with the paintings of his "golden phase", many of which include gold leaf. Klimt's work was an important influence on his younger peer Egon Schiele. Most recognized paintings from this Golden Period: "The Kiss" and "Adele Bloch-Bauer I "(1907), which sold for a record $135 million in 2006, Neue Galerie, New York
