René Lalique - Jarrón - R Lalique “Coquilles” Jarrón, No. 932, aproximadamente de 1920, (Jarrón raro) - Vidrio
Iconic Art Deco vase with overlapping scallop shells in high relief. Clear press-moulded glass with satin frosting and soft green stain that pools in the recesses and amplifies the pattern’s rhythm. Molded signature R. LALIQUE to the underside. Model designed in 1920 and documented in Marcilhac, no. 932.
“Coquilles” is one of Lalique’s most successful early 1920s designs, created as the firm moved from Art Nouveau naturalism to the crisp geometry of Art Deco. The shell motif catches light like a fan of waves, and the blue/grey stained version is particularly sought after by collectors.
Dimensions
Height 18.5 cm
Condition
Very good condition. Typical light signs of age and handling only. No cracks and no distracting chips. The vase presents beautifully.
A rare, authentic example of a landmark René Lalique.
