Jarrón - Aleación, Bronce - Japón - Takaoka bronce Zuiho (瑞峰) (Sin precio de reserva)

Artist: Zuihō (瑞峰) Material: Cast metal (bronze or bronze alloy) with patinated finish Origin: Japan – Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture Period: Showa period (20th century) Condition: Very good condition, complete with original wooden storage box. ⸻ Description This metal flower vase was created by Zuihō (瑞峰), an artist associated with the traditional metal-casting craftsmanship of Takaoka, a region renowned for its centuries-long history of Japanese metal art. The vase features a dignified baluster form with a gently flared mouth and a well-balanced, rounded body. Its surface is finished with a deep green to turquoise patina, forming a richly mottled texture reminiscent of natural stone or mineral formations. The subtle variations in tone change depending on the light, giving the piece depth and a calm, composed presence. Around the neck, a decorative metal band is applied, featuring a taotie-style mask motif inspired by ancient East Asian bronze vessels. This motif is complemented by symmetrical scroll-shaped handles on both sides, adding balance and a classical atmosphere to the overall design. Rather than emphasizing excessive ornamentation, the vase conveys a refined harmony between form, surface, and motif. The restrained decoration and solid proportions reflect the aesthetics of traditional Japanese metalwork, where strength, restraint, and quiet elegance coexist. The base bears an impressed maker’s mark, and the vase is accompanied by its original wooden storage box, inscribed in Japanese as a bronze flower vase. This confirms that the piece was intended as a formal decorative object, suitable both for flower arrangement and for display as an art object. ⸻ Included • Metal flower vase by Zuihō (瑞峰) • Original wooden storage box with inscription ⸻ Dimensions • Height: approx. 25 cm • Body diameter: approx. 17.5 cm • Mouth diameter: approx. 9 cm • Base diameter: approx. 8.5 cm Weight: • Approx. 1.55 kg ⸻ Condition Very good overall condition.
