However, if you require faster delivery, air shipping may be possible through a different carrier for an additional fee, so please contact us. 【Product details】 This is an Muromachi period wakizashi housed in a plain wooden shirasaya, accompanied by a brass habaki and a storage bag. The blade is unsigned (mumei) and has been attributed to the Sue-Nobukuni school, a lineage of swordsmiths from the late Muromachi period. Sue-Enju smiths were closely associated with the Mino tradition, with stylistic influences from the Owari-based Sue-Seki group. The sword comes with a copy of its Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate, issued in Saitama Prefecture under number 35173 on 14 May 1971 (Shōwa 46), as the original will be returned to the authorities. The certificate records the blade as a wakizashi measuring 51.1 cm in length with a curvature of 1.4 cm, unsigned (mumei), with two mekugi-ana. The blade passed examination at the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (NBTHK) in March 2025 and was awarded the status of Hozon Tōken (Preservation Sword 保存刀剣), attributed to Sue- Enju. Condition notes: The blade shows edge nicks, scratches (including hike, shallow linear scratches characteristic of use), and scattered rust. The habaki bears patina and minor scratches. The shinogi line (along the ridge line of the blade) shows small surface flaws, while the scabbard has blemishes and a crack. The storage bag has visible stains. Please refer to the photographs for the detailed condition. The stand is not included.
