Seiko - Seiko 5 Automatic Day-Date - Sin precio de reserva - 6119-8240 - Hombre - 1978

Vintage Seiko 5 Automatic Day-Date, reference 6119-8240, manufactured in November 1978. A late–1970s design that captures the mature phase of Seiko’s highly successful “5” line—an era when the company was refining both reliability and visual character for a global audience. The 6119 series holds an important position in Seiko history. It represents the brand’s transition from the simple 1960s automatics toward the more robust, internationally oriented models of the 1970s. The 6119 movement was part of Seiko’s strategy to offer an everyday automatic watch that combined durability, easy servicing, and the convenience of quick-set functions. This particular model features a champagne sunburst dial paired with a distinctive blue-accent chapter ring—an unmistakably 1970s Seiko design language. The blue seconds hand and applied indices give the watch a strong visual identity while still keeping a clean and balanced aesthetic. Date can be quick-set by pushing the crown, while the day is adjusted by turning the hands, as typical for the 6119 architecture from this era. Fitted with a new aftermarket genuine leather strap. Running at the time of listing. As a vintage watch, stable operation, accuracy, and water resistance are not guaranteed. The watch will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking for safe delivery.
