This Panerai PAM 00005 has undergone a professional restoration in our independent watch studio and is now equipped with a new swiss made DB9 manual-winding caliber. This is the second watch assembled in our workshop using the DB9 movement, following the excellent results achieved with our first build. The stainless steel case has been deeply refinished, including precision polishing, brushing, and partial re-engraving, to restore the original Luminor Marina appearance. The restoration process focused on preserving the classic Panerai proportions while ensuring a clean and refined finish. The watch is powered by the swiss brand new DB9 manual-winding caliber, which has demonstrated outstanding performance results, exceeding those typically observed in modern Panerai OP calibers during testing and daily use. The DB9 caliber is fully compatible with ETA 6497-1 / 6497-2 architecture, making it highly practical, cost-effective, and easily serviceable in the long term. Unlike earlier Panerai OP I or OP XXIX movements, the DB9 features modern technical specifications, including: - 21,600 BPH (3 Hz) beat rate for improved stability and precision - Extended power reserve of approximately 60 hours, which in practice exceeds the 56-hour reserve commonly stated for modern Panerai calibers The movement has been fully inspected, serviced, and regulated as part of the restoration process to ensure reliable and consistent performance. - To highlight our craftsmanship, the watch is delivered with our own custom-made leather strap, buckle, and presentation box, specifically designed to complement our restoration work. We provide a two-year warranty from our company on this restored timepiece, along with an official invoice issued in the buyer’s name.
