Made in USSR (prior to the Soviet Union being broken up). Excellent condition; looks like it was never used. Lomonosov logo on base of both pieces. Beautiful, rich cobalt blue with gilded accents. Very unusual and beautiful tea set Lomonosov,St Petersburg,Russian,USSR. Founded in 1744 by Peter the Great's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (formerly the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory of St. Petersburg) is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe. Creating hand-made and hand-painted porcelain in the traditions set by Russian artists and sculptors such as Kandinsky, J-D. Rachette, and others, the quality, beauty, and craftmanship of Lomonosov Porcelain is unparalleled. The pieces are cobalt blue and gold, stunning and with hand painted gold filigree aaround the top edge of the cup and the inside rim of the saucer and dessert plate. The rim of the saucer has a thick gold band. They have no damage and no wear to gold. It is in EXCELLENT condition!! HAND PAINTED. Embellished with 22-karat gold. Hand wash is recommended. The original Lomonosov factory logo is on the bottom of each piece. Genuine Article - 100% Guaranteed. Material: hard-paste porcelain. Made in Russia by the Imperial Lomonosov Porcelain Factory.
