Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) - Toro acudiendo a la capa- Linocut 1963

This linocut originates from a highly regarded suite first released by Galerie Louise Leiris in 1960, initially in a limited signed edition of only 50 copies. Celebrated for their striking visual appeal and bold artistic expression, these original pieces are highly coveted by collectors and art connoisseurs alike. In 1963, under the direct supervision and collaboration of Pablo Picasso himself and Galerie Louise Leiris, a new set of linoleum plates was created at precisely 42% of the original size. This later series, printed and published in the same year by Gustavo Gili—a renowned publisher and a close personal friend of Picasso— This piece aligns with the broader dialogue of 20th-century modernism and shares aesthetic territory with contemporaries and collaborators such as Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, Fernand Léger, Juan Gris, André Masson, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Henri Laurens, Jean Cocteau, and later expressionists and abstract artists like Antoni Tàpies, Wifredo Lam, Karel Appel, Pierre Soulages, and Zao Wou-Ki. Condition: vintage condition. Some minor yellowing along the edges (outside the printed area), not affecting the image. Note: the picture of the map and the edition is for reference only, and it is not included
