Porsche Design - Chronograph Titanium PVD Limited to 1.999 Units - 6500.12 - Hombre - 2000 - 2010

Porsche Design was founded in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the gentleman responsible for designing the Porsche 911. In 1973, the company launched its first wristwatch, the first to feature an all-black PVD case and bracelet. This Titanium Chronograph from the early 2000s shares many similarities with that first watch, including the same dial layout with the chronograph and day-date. However, underneath the PVD coating, the case and bracelet are made from titanium. The decorated case back features “Manufactured by Eterna”, a watchmaker responsible for producing Porsche Design watches since 1995. There are also details of this limited edition (1,999 pieces) and the signature of F.A. Porsche. The watch is powered by a Swiss Valjoux 7750 automatic movement. Despite having no known service history, it’s running well. The bracelet has some markings, as seen in the pictures, and the antireflective coating has minor scratches. Condition: Good. The case and bracelet are in good condition, but with some scratches on the bracelet as crystal. The sapphire crystal has minor wear on the antireflective coating. Please see the pictures for full condition and clarity. Case Size: 40.5mm x 49mm titanium case with a thickness of 15mm. Pictured in a 6.75-inch (17.1 cm) wrist. Wears incredibly well for its size and thickness. Movement: Valjoux 7750, automatic with chronograph function, day and date. Service history is unknown, but all functions work perfectly. - Watch only, no box or papers. - Will fit a wrist of up around 7 inches (17.7 cm).
