Matsuyama 松山 - Limited Edition 100 pieces - Saburō Miyata 宮田三郎 (1924-2013) - Japón

We cannot ship to the USA due to suspension of the postal services from Malta. (Please read below). Mr. Miyata made it his life work to depict his home country Japan through a collection of 12 volumes, each consisting of 20 prints. The volumes were limited editions of 100 copies. It took Mr. Miyata 30 years to complete. Each volume was published in an exclusive folder. It is astonishing how recognizable Miyata could make the subjects of his prints even when simplifying the colors and shapes, an incredible talent. Miyata's prints are very recognizable, as he created a unique style in which he eliminated details and used colors and shapes in their most simple forms to create a vibrant but still very recognizable image of reality. This print is one of the volume of the Tohoku region. Matsuyama (松山市, Matsuyama-shi) is the capital city of Ehime Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku, in Japan and is also Shikoku's largest city. It is located on the northeastern portion of the Dōgo Plain. The city also includes the Kutsuna Islands, an archipelago of 29 islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
