Descripción del vendedor
“Red Desire” XL is a visual artwork that explores the threshold between the corporeal and the visceral. A solitary figure emerges from a dark, liquid field, her skin illuminated against a surrounding mass of deep reds and obsidian shadows. The organic forms cling and float simultaneously, blurring the line between adornment and engulfment. The composition feels suspended, as if caught in a slow pulse, where flesh and matter negotiate their boundaries. The chromatic intensity—carmine, rust, and near-black—suggests both vitality and rupture, a beauty born from saturation rather than restraint.
Artist’s statement:
This piece reflects on transformation through immersion. I was drawn to the idea of the body not as a fixed subject, but as a surface that absorbs, stains, and responds. The red forms act as both presence and residue—echoes of emotion, memory, or internal pressure made visible. Rather than portraying vulnerability, the work embraces exposure as a state of power, where softness and intensity coexist. It is an exploration of becoming: what happens when the self is no longer separate from what surrounds it.

About the artist:
I’m Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered.
My practice blends multiple techniques —primarily photography, complemented by painting— to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
