She has been praised by critics for her musical productions and stage productions, awarding her the title of the “Queen of Pop”. As a prominent popular icon spanning the 20th and 21st centuries, she has been the focus of numerous academic, literary and artistic works, as well as a scholarly sub-discipline called Madonna studies.
