Labelled Frank Reiner - 4/4 - - Violín - Alemania

On offer is an old fine full sized master violin, made and labeled: "Frank Reiner Hamburgensis me fecit nobile cantabile amabileque sonantem Anno 1924 13899". The maker did already description to the sound - it is correct: he made me noble, melodious and charming, arousing admiration. The instrument is ready to play with good ebony set up, old master bridge by Etienne Vatelot (Paris) and new strings. Small professionally repaired cracks on top. The tone is powerful, sweet, rich, clear as a bell and focused with many colors to work with. It is responsive and even in all ranges. The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful flamed maple with matched sides and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight high grained spruce. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. Original golden brown varnish over lighter ground. The whole length of the violin is 59,5 cm and the back 35,6 cm. The width of the upper bouts: 16,7 cm; middle bouts: 11,4 cm; lower bouts: 20,8 cm. Any questions I will endeavor to answer in a polite timely manner. Shipping worldwide insured We are a virtual and accessible auction house dedicated to fine-stringed instruments, bows, and accessories.
