THE AERIAL VIEWS CRATE STACKS PHOTO SERIES:
„Photographer Bernhard Lang is known for his aerial shots that capture the inexact repetition and geometry of everyday life. His project, “Crate Stacks,” focuses in on a German beverage production yard, a facet of an industry that employs about 60,000 people in more than 500 companies in the country. Captured in November 2019 while Lang was flying in a small plane over the area, the series shows thousands of crates sorted by color and assembled in long lines. Tiny squares and circles comprise the lengthy rectangular rows, highlighting the height differences of each stack. The artist says the shots remind him of “the computer game Tetris or graphic bar diagrams.”" Magazine Colossal, (USA 12/2019)

Para tomar estas imágenes desde los cielos, Lang despega en helicópteros y aeroplanos pequeños.
El trabajo de Lang ha sido publicado en Times Magazine, The Washington Post, The Guardian, CNN, Wired, National Geographic Magazine, Corriere della Sera, Zeit Magazine, art magazine, mare, FAZ, Stern, Spiegel, SZ, … y ha producido contenido artístico para Apple, Aston Martin, Akris, Getty Images Creative, Sundek, Deutsche Welle TV Channel, …
Se propone encontrar patrones y estructuras interesantes en la superficie de nuestro planeta. También muestra un interés particular en capturar imágenes que evidencian el impacto de las actividades humanas sobre la naturaleza y el entorno.
Las imágenes de Lang nos liberan de las ataduras de la gravedad y nos permiten observar el mundo y nuestro efecto sobre él —tanto bueno como malo— de una manera más desapegada. Es esta dualidad la que Lang está más interesado en investigar a través de su obra, el extraño equilibrio entre belleza y destrucción, y la lucha continua por la convivencia entre la humanidad y la tierra que habitamos.
La obra de Lang se ha mostrado en varias exposiciones alrededor del mundo, y sus Ediciones de Fine Art de calidad museo, exclusivamente limitadas, se conservan en colecciones corporativas y privadas.
