Descripción del vendedor
Oil on panel.
Unframed dimensions: 19 × 25 cm.
Framed dimensions: 31 × 37 cm.
A charming late 17th-century Flemish Old Master landscape depicting a hunting scene in a wooded river setting. The composition shows two hunters aiming towards water birds or flamingo-like birds gathered near a lake or river, with a small waterfall visible in the foreground and further birds and landscape details in the background.
The painting is executed in oil on panel and is presented in an unusual and attractive octagonal format, enhancing its character as a small cabinet picture. The dark wooded setting, animated figures, water, birds and narrative hunting subject are consistent with the Flemish Baroque landscape tradition of the second half of the 17th century.
Attribution: Anonymous, Flemish Old Master School.
Date: 1660–1690.
Medium: Oil on panel.
Subject: Hunting scene in a wooded river landscape, with hunters, water birds and waterfall.

Condition: The painting shows age-related wear consistent with its period, including surface wear, craquelure, scattered abrasions, small paint losses and general toning. The reverse shows old inactive wormholes. The gilt octagonal frame presents wear and losses consistent with age and use. Please refer to the photographs for a full visual assessment of the condition.
