Elegant pair of French Louis XV style candelabra crafted in finely cast gilt bronze. France, mid-20th century.
These decorative three-light candelabra display an elaborate Rococo design with richly modelled acanthus leaves, scrolling branches and pierced openwork bases. Their sculptural quality and refined casting make them highly decorative pieces suitable for both classical and contemporary interiors.
The original gilded finish has developed a pleasant antique patina over time, enhancing their authentic character. Each candelabrum stands on an ornate pierced base supporting three candle holders with finely decorated drip pans.
The pair remains in good overall condition with signs of age and use consistent with its age, including minor wear to the gilding and traces of old candle wax.
