Artist and designer AE (Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies, Barcelona, 2004 + Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies). He always felt his medium of choice would be digital, and he has been creating and experimenting since an early age with 1980s computer graphics, developing his own aesthetics and style influenced by minimalism, conceptual art, Japanese visual culture and skateboard graphics. His artworks are held in private collections in more than 30 countries around the world, from The Netherlands, Belgium and Italy to Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Collectors appreciate the uniqueness of AE’s distinctive style.

AE’s artwork is characterized by its bold monochrome compositions, limited palette and striking graphic contrasts. In this diptych, the futuristic identity of Daft Punk is combined with Japanese typography, psychedelic patterns, retro technology and traditional imagery. The robotic musicians, hypnotic geometry and vinyl-playing figure evoke a timeless world where electronic music, fashion and Japanese culture merge. Distressed textures and high-contrast imagery give the works the appearance of vintage underground concert posters while maintaining a contemporary visual impact.

The artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibition art curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises).

“Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing, an invisible border, to merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past, looking down and in the same second, rocking! The work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for an emotional teleportation that we live and see in ‘Black and white’! Æ2381 pushes you to jump into a void, in fact, populated with images, symbols, unexplored signs that propels us to a Real Timeless!” — T. Fournier (Artnoises) ★★★★★

* All pictures are visually as accurate as possible. There may be slight variations in colours due to differences in lighting and monitors.
** Immediate shipping after payment with appropriate insurance. Do not hesitate to contact me for follow-up information.
*** The frame present in the presentation photo is only an example of presentation and inspiration for framing. Grouping is possible for the purchase of several artworks to limit shipping costs.
