Pentax smc PENTAX-FA 100mm F2.8 Macro lens, a well-regarded autofocus macro/portrait prime lens for the Pentax KAF mount, introduced in the early 1990s for Pentax's 35mm SLR system and fully compatible with modern Pentax K-mount DSLR bodies. Built around the classic smc Pentax-F 100mm Macro optical formula, this lens is prized among Pentax shooters for its ability to focus down to 1:1 life-size magnification, delivering crisp macro detail as well as beautifully rendered portraits thanks to its smooth bokeh and fast f/2.8 maximum aperture. This particular example shows some light wear consistent with age and use: the aperture ring shows a hairline crack near the distance scale window, and the front filter thread has some minor distortion.
