Rolex Submariner Diver's Automatic Vintage Ghost Bezel 16610

Creating a model to replace the 1680 model would not be an easy task. Nevertheless, the 16610 took on this challenging task in 1987 as one of the first models of the Rolex with a five-digit reference number. Fortunately, the Oyster was able to maintain the case with excellent proportions, which made it the last model to use this case among the date display Submariner models. The 16610 was so successful that it took production for exactly 21 years — that is, until it reached the age of maturity that could be celebrated with a drink. In this process, a transition from tritium to Luminova was made in production. For about a year following the transition, only “SWISS” was written on the Luminova dials instead of the later phrase “SWISS MADE”.

The dial is very clean, but the biggest beauty that distinguishes this watch from the others is undoubtedly the ghost formation of the bezel.
