Description:

This Elgin pocket watch features a classic white enamel dial paired with decorative black Arabic numerals and a pair of blued steel spade hands, a design widely used by Elgin National Watch Company around the turn of the 20th century. A small seconds sub-dial with a 10-60 track sits at the six o'clock position, and the case is finished in a gold tone with a swing ring at the pendant for attaching a chain or fob. Please note the case is gold-filled, not solid gold.

The movement is hand-wound, using a keyless winding crown at the pendant for both winding and time-setting, in keeping with typical American pocket watch construction of the period.
