Description
This lot comprises seven original corporate calendars issued by Phs. van Ommeren, one of the Netherlands’ leading international shipping companies. These calendars were privately distributed to clients and business relations and were not intended for retail sale.
Included years:
* 1972
* 1991
* 1993
* 1994
* 1996
* 1997
* 1999
The 1972 calendar dates from the period in which the internationally recognised Dutch graphic designer Jan Bons (1918–2012) and Studio Bons were responsible for the visual identity and printed communications of Phs. van Ommeren.
The calendars from the 1990s continue this long-running corporate design tradition. Each of these calendars carries the printed credit “Jeroen Bons” , documenting his involvement with these editions.
The collection provides an overview of the evolution of Dutch corporate graphic design over nearly three decades and is of interest to collectors of:
* Dutch graphic design
* Corporate identity and branding
* Maritime history
* Shipping memorabilia
* 20th-century printed ephemera
Condition
The calendars are in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use.
Please note:
* The 1972 calendar is missing the month of February.
