Descripción del vendedor

"Koi Dreams" #4 XL is a visual artwork by Nik Haku that unfolds within a space of immersion, solitude, and suspended presence. A solitary geisha figure stands waist-deep in dark, shifting water, her bowed gaze and porcelain face forming a quiet axis of stillness against the restless surface. A single koi moves nearby, its orange body emerging like a pulse of warmth within the deep green currents. The surrounding water folds and swirls around them, blurring edges and dissolving distinctions between body and reflection, as though the scene exists in a suspended moment between descent and awakening.

Artist’s statement:

This piece continues my exploration of identity as something shaped through proximity rather than declaration. The solitary koi becomes less a companion and more a mirror—an embodied trace of persistence, instinct, and silent navigation. The geisha figure remains composed yet vulnerable, suspended between ritual form and elemental force. I am drawn to the quiet tension between surrender and control, between drifting and remaining. In this work, water is not merely a surrounding environment but an active threshold—an intimate field where stillness is tested, and transformation occurs not through spectacle, but through subtle immersion and reflection.

Artwork details:

About the artist:

I’m Nik Haku, a visual artist and photographer exploring the space between the real and the altered.
My practice blends multiple techniques —primarily photography, complemented by painting— to construct images that move fluidly between mediums. My work spans portraiture and landscapes, beginning with photographic capture and evolving through painting, AI, and digital manipulation. I aim to create visual worlds where memory, identity, and imagined space overlap, dissolving the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt.
