​Magnificent and unique piece of octagonal accent furniture, dated 1978. This box/trunk cleverly combines practical interior storage with functional use as a side table or tea service table.
​Design & Decoration: Crafted from wood lacquered in a vivid Oriental red hue, featuring details in gold, green, and black. Each side panel displays an elaborate hand-painted floral motif emerging from a traditional vase. The top lid is adorned with a central concentric floral composition framed by an outer border.
​Functionality: The hinged top lid opens via metal hinges and features a traditional metal clasp/latch with intricate engraved/pierced details. The interior space is clean and spacious, making it ideal for storage. It has been used recently as a tea service table and side table for living rooms or reading corners.
​Condition: In good vintage condition consistent with its age (1978). It exhibits a natural patina, light color wear, and minor rubbing along the lacquer edges, adding authenticity and character to the piece (please refer to the detailed photographs). Structurally sound and complete.
