Sobre las obras
Esta pieza representa a dos figuras femeninas drapeadas en textiles orientales fluidos, iluminadas por una luz de luna suave. La composición enfatiza la interacción entre la luz y la sombra, evocando una sensación de quietud e introspección.

Perfil corto
Nací en Surinam, América del Sur, y llevo en mí una rica herencia cultural: surinamesa, indonesia, africana y holandesa. Crecí en los Países Bajos, rodeada del legado de los viejos maestros holandeses — en una tierra donde Vermeer y Rembrandt nunca están lejos de la vista.
Un encargo para una marca de perfume me llevó una vez a Venecia. Allí, me conmovió profundamente el arte barroco, la arquitectura y la historia entrelazada de la ciudad. Esa experiencia despertó algo profundo en mí y se convirtió en una fuente duradera de inspiración que aún da forma a mi visión artística hoy.

Mi proceso creativo está cuidadosamente diseñado y es profundamente multidisciplinario. Construyo mis sets con gran atención al detalle, incorporando mis otras pasiones artísticas: dibujo a carbón, trabajar con oro, textiles y manipulación fotográfica avanzada. Cada pieza que creo reúne todos estos elementos en una expresión coherente.
