The Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro is a long-serving and much-liked lens: a genuinely sharp standard prime that also focuses to half life-size without any accessory. Small, light and fully compatible with every Canon EOS body from the film era to current digital models (and with RF bodies via adapter), it has a devoted following among photographers who want one lens that handles both everyday shooting and close-up work.
Mount & Compatibility
This is a Canon EF-mount autofocus lens. It works with all Canon EOS film SLRs and all Canon EF/EF-S DSLRs, retaining full autofocus.
On Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras (EOS R series) it can be used with the Canon EF-EOS R adapter with full functionality.
