The Nikon AF Nikkor ED 80-200mm f/2.8 is the lens that professional Nikon users worked with through the 1990s, and it is still one of the sharpest telephoto zooms Nikon has made. It holds f/2.8 across the whole range, uses ED glass to control chromatic aberration, and its all-metal barrel with a tripod collar was built for daily working use. It covers both full-frame and APS-C bodies. Autofocus requires a camera with a built-in AF motor, for example the D7000 series, D600, D700 or D800 series; on other bodies it works in manual focus.
