Fíbula norico-panoniana romana de doble cabeza – Almgren 236 – probablemente Garbsch A236a – Bronce – Temprana época imperial

Muy bien conservada fibula noro-panoniana romana de bronce, tipológicamente asignable al grupo Almgren 236. A partir de sus rasgos característicos, la fibula probablemente se acerca a la variante temprana Garbsch A236a.

Característicos son el robusto arco que se ensancha hacia la cabeza, los dos pernos transversales claramente perfilados y el pie alargado y enmarcado con varias nervaduras internas. La región de la cabeza está lisa y no presenta una cresta central pronunciada.

Cabe destacar el estado de conservación en gran parte completo. El mecanismo de espiral y la aguja original larga se conservan.

Una de las finas nervaduras entrelazadas en el marco del pie está rota aproximadamente en el centro y doblada en la parte inferior. Sin embargo, la nervadura en sí está presente. El estado se puede apreciar claramente en las fotos detalladas.

La superficie muestra una pátina verde a verde oscura que se ha desarrollado de forma natural, con áreas de corrosión marrón o rojiza y depósitos de envejecimiento.

Estado:
Muy buen estado general con la espiral y la aguja larga conservadas. Una fina nervadura del marco enrejado del pie está rota en el centro y doblada en la parte inferior, pero la nervadura sigue estando presente. Patina envejecida, corrosión y signos de uso acorde con las fotos.

Roman Noric-Pannonian Double-Knob Fibula – Almgren 236 – probably Garbsch A236a – Bronze – Early Imperial Period

Very well preserved Roman Noric-Pannonian double-knob fibula made of bronze, belonging to the Almgren 236 group. Based on its characteristic features, the fibula is most probably closely related to the early Garbsch A236a variant.

Characteristic features include the robust bow widening towards the head, the two distinctly profiled transverse knobs and the elongated openwork frame-shaped foot with several internal struts. The head is smoothly formed without a pronounced central ridge.

Particularly noteworthy is the largely complete state of preservation. The spring mechanism and the long original pin are preserved.

One of the fine internal struts of the openwork foot is broken approximately in the middle and bent in its lower section. The strut itself is still present. This can clearly be seen in the detailed photographs.

The surface shows a naturally developed green to dark-green patina with areas of brown and reddish corrosion and age-related deposits.

Condition:
Very good overall condition with the spring mechanism and long pin preserved. One of the fine internal struts of the openwork frame-shaped foot is broken in the middle and bent in its lower section, but the strut remains present. Age-related patina, corrosion and traces of wear as shown in the photographs. No modern restoration has been carried out by the present owner.
