We present a charming antique oil painting depicting *Saint Lucy of Syracuse*.

The saint is represented with her classic attributes: the palm of martyrdom in her hand and the golden halo of sanctity surrounding her head. Dressed in a vibrant red mantle over a light tunic, her delicately painted face and gaze lifted to heaven conveys great spirituality and serenity.

It is a devotional work, with a loose and expressive brushstroke typical of Italian Ottocento painting, where the intensity of the red color and the luminosity of the face stand out. It retains that patina and texture typical of antique oil paintings on panel.
