Japanese vintage chisel "Nomi 鑿" - Herramienta de trabajo (8)

These are Japanese chisel (Nomi 鑿). The difference between Western chisels and Japanese chisels is that while Western chisels are double-edged, Japanese chisels are single-edged. Single-edged chisels are better suited for fine work and are specialized for carving compared to double-edged chisels. Additionally, the Japanese steel used in katana and Japanese kitchen knives is also used in Japanese chisels. The blades are known for their long-lasting sharpness if properly maintained. Japanese carpenters often have chisels that have become well-worn and comfortable in their hands over many years of use. Size & Weight Largest chisel: 23.5 × 3 × 3 cm Total weight (5 chisels): 623g Good condition. But, as these are used items, there are signs of wear, rust, and damage due to age and use. Please check the photos for details. NOITICE Knives cannot be shipped from Japan to the UK. Please refrain from bidding if you are in the UK. The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx, depending on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
