Estate Legacy – The Dönnhoff Dynasty
Located in Oberhausen an der Nahe, Weingut Dönnhoff is widely regarded as one of Germany’s greatest wine estates. Under the stewardship of Helmut Dönnhoff, the estate has grown from humble beginnings to international acclaim, producing wines of unrivaled purity, elegance, and longevity.

Robert Parker has called Helmut Dönnhoff a “superstar” and awarded the estate multiple 100-point scores for its Eisweins.
British wine writer Hugh Johnson praised Dönnhoff’s “fanatical commitment to quality and remarkable natural talent.”
The estate cultivates 20 hectares of steep, rocky vineyards, with a focus on Erste Lage and Grosse Lage sites. Around 80% of production is Riesling, grown on volcanic and slate soils that impart intense minerality and vibrant acidity.
