MACALLAN 12 YEARS DOUBLE CASK This single malt whisky is named after the fact that it is matured in two types of cask to further enrich its character. This involves a combination of American and European oak, with some of the casks used briefly containing Oloroso sherry. Together, these create a harmonious and balanced character; the hallmark of The Macallan Double Cask Series. The aroma is creamy and full: butterscotch, toffee apple, orange, vanilla, and fresh oak are all present. On the palate, The Macallan 12 Years Double Cask strikes an excellent balance between sweetness and spice. Notes of honey, raisins, caramel, and cinnamon are among those present. The finish is long, warming, and sweet, with hints of oak providing a pleasant balance. MACALLAN 12 YEARS TRIPLE CASK It is crafted in the Highlands region and is available in a 70cl bottle. After the base distillate is finished, it is matured in casks for 12 years. Several types of casks were used, including sherry casks, bourbon casks, and European and American oak casks. This gives the final product a highly complex character. The aroma reveals abundant hints of creamy vanilla and a fruity touch of citrus zest.
