Sin Precio de Reserva - Anillo - 14 quilates Oro amarillo - 1.85ct. tw. Rubí - Flame Fusion Ruby

Vintage 14K Gold Ring with Flame-Fusion Ruby Materials: 14K yellow gold (XRF tested), synthetic ruby (flame-fusion/Verneuil process) Ring size: 49 (EU) / 9 (IT) / 4 ¾ (US) Ring head: 11.5 × 9.1 × 3.5 mm Ring arm: 2.4 to 1.2 mm Main Stone: Flame-fusion ruby (synthetic), oval faceted cut, approx. 9.5 × 7.0 × 3.5 mm, total estimated weight 1.85 ct. Bright pinkish-red color with internal growth lines, characteristic of Verneuil rubies. Hallmarks: A gold purity hallmark and a maker’s mark with three circles (see photos). Style: Vintage signet/statement ring Era: Likely mid-20th century (ca. 1940s–1960s) Additional Information: The flame-fusion ruby technique was first developed by French chemist Auguste Verneuil in the late 19th century. Known as the Verneuil process, it was the first commercially successful method for creating synthetic rubies and sapphires. Using an oxyhydrogen flame, powdered alumina and chromium oxide were fused into crystalline boules, later cut into gemstones. This process revolutionized jewelry by making rubies more affordable and widely available during the early to mid-20th century. Condition: Very good vintage condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age. No visible repairs. This piece has been fully checked by our in house jeweller & gemologist. Shipped tracked and insured from the Netherlands (within the European Union). You can expect to receive this item in 5 business days or less.
