AIWA CA 30Z Radio Cassette Player - Made in Japan (1984) This auction offers a vintage AIWA radio cassette player, manufactured in Japan in 1984, a classic device in rare red color. Because this device, especially in this color, is rarely available on the market, I’m offering it for auction so that it can be restored and preserved. Condition Acceptable cosmetic condition considering its age of approx. 40 years. The device had been stored in the attic for about 20 years. Radio tested: excellent reception with warm stereo sound. Cassette player tested: Found that the cassette mechanism is not stable — sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. In addition, there is a buzzing sound coming from the speakers only when the cassette is running, therefore, just to be on the safe side, I’m saying that the cassette player does not work. The speakers can be detached from the device, and the carrying handle can also be removed. The battery compartment is clean and free of any residue or corrosion.
