Authentic Psittacosaurus Ischium Bone - Esqueleto fósil - Psittacosaurus mazongshensis Yu 1997
A truly rare opportunity to own an authentic ischium bone (pelvic bone) from a Psittacosaurus, one of the most iconic and well-studied early ceratopsian dinosaurs.
Measuring 12.5 cm, this genuine fossil comes from the Early Cretaceous period (approx. 120 million years ago), and is a stunning example of prehistoric anatomy.
The ischium is a distinctive and key part of the dinosaur’s pelvis – a bone unique to dinosaurs and other archosaurs, not commonly found in fossil collections.
Its elongated, rod-like shape is typical of bipedal ornithischian dinosaurs and provides vital anatomical information about the creature’s posture, movement, and muscle attachment.
What makes this piece especially rare and valuable is not only its excellent preservation but the fact that ischium bones are far less commonly offered than teeth, claws, or vertebrae.
This is a museum-quality specimen and a must-have for serious collectors of dinosaur fossils or natural history artifacts.
