In Assyrian culture, Pazuzu was the king of the demons and had the body of man and the head of a lion or a dog.
Pazuzu was invoked in an amulet, which combats the powers of his rival, and against the goddess Lamashtu who harmed mother and her child during childbirth.
This amulet is in very good condition.(900-650)B.C.
Some of these pazuzu were used as a pendant for necklaces and the largers one were used on top of the doors of the house for protection.
This pazuzu amulet belonged to a man who has a large collection of pazuzu and he collected them many years ago.
He achieved this pazuzu amulet purchase in 1995 from another collector.(the last collector bought it before 1990
