Rare Japanese traditional hand carved wooden Noh mask - Yoroboshi弱法師, finely carved with vivid expression, artist name Ueda上田 was signed on the backside. This mask depicts Yoroboshi, a sensitive young man who is driven out of his home by slander and becomes blind from grief, but who finds the scent of plum blossoms to be the springtime scent, and only after he becomes blind does he realize that Manki Seizan is in his heart. The plum blossom petals bring him back together with his father, Takayasu Michitoshi. This mask is exclusive to Yoroboshi.
