A finely carved wood Corpus Christi, Spanish, 17th century. Mounted on a parchment-covered panel with a frame with gilded accents. The figure of Christ shown with expressive anatomy and the head gently falling to one side. The arms lacking, consistent with age and devotional use.
Originating from an Important Belgian private collection.
