Seto Ware - Norio Mizuno - Chawan - Tazón de té / Caja de almacenamiento de madera / Ceremonia del té - Alfarería - Sado / Matcha

Norio Mizuno (水野教雄) A ceramic artist from Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, he is particularly known as the creator and successor of the traditional "nerikomi" technique, which combines clays of different colors. He was born as the second son of the first generation Mizuno Sokaku, and succeeded his father as the first nerikomi specialist in Seto, becoming the second generation. The third generation is his son, Mizuno Tomoro. In 2010, he was certified as a holder of the Seto City designated intangible cultural property "ceramic kneading" technique. While applying traditional patterns, we are also exploring new ways of expression by challenging ourselves with realistic patterns, small floral patterns, animal motifs, and other designs that have not been used much in previous Nerikomi techniques. He has received numerous awards at the Japan New Crafts Exhibition, including the Member's Award, Crafts Award, Chosa Yoshiyuki Memorial Award, and Kato Takuo Award, and has also been selected for the Nitten Exhibition as an associate member. Norio Mizuno's work is highly acclaimed for its precise and original kneading techniques. Condition* In very good condition.
